In January 2004, a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") was entered into between Trad Hospital and The George Washington University Medical Center.

The purpose of this MOU is to establish a collaborative effort for the exchange of academic and education endeavors and to recognize the importance of international cooperation between institutions.

It is recognized by the parties that their mutual aims are :



• To facilitate the exchange of visiting faculty for teaching and research with respect to standing regulations within each institution.

• To provide access to qualified medical students planning to pursue their international clinical electives.

• To promote mutual cooperation in the field of breast diseases, ear-nose-throat (cochlear implantation), obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics (navigational systems) through planning and development of joint conferences and seminars of mutual interest, training programs, program planning, and the development of technology of the above clinical areas.

• To promote the exchange of scholarly publications and other materials in a manner that complies with applicable copyright laws and ownership rights of such publications and materials.

• To provide information on substantive educational and research programs and conferences, seminars on topics of mutual interest and to encourage and strengthen communication and cooperation between members of both institutions.

Dr. Sami Trad, Chairman of the Board and Dr. Karim Trad, Medical Director, signed on behalf of Trad Hospital.

Dr. John F. Williams, Provost and Vice President for Health Affairs and Mr. Louis H. Katz, Executive Vice President and Treasurer, signed on behalf of The George Washington University Medical Center .
